Thank you Class of 2022!

A collection of the photos and events from this year's graduation

 

The graduating class walks through the school with all students in the school lined up on both sides.


The graduating class enters the graduation tent behind the lead of the bagpiper.


The ceremony begins with the American National Anthem performed by Mercedes Hainzl Fernandez.


Mercedes then also performs "I Have Nothing" by Whitney Houston.


Current Head Students (Alma Ihlberg and Ethan Walsh) pass down the responsibility of the role to the new Head Students (Sofía Echáníz and Tara Ossiani).


Dr. Peter Abbott, the British Counsel General to New England, gives the Keynote Address of the graduation. He speech includes how he found his interest in diplomacy.


Mr. Richard Thornhill gives his Head of School Address, emphasizing the resilience of the students.


Ms. Karen McWilliam introduces the Class of 2022 prior to handing out the diplomas, featuring some of the memorable moments she has had with the students.


The graduating class receives their high school diplomas and gives speeches. Speeches include gratitude to their families, peers, and teachers as well as jokes about their time at BISB.


Seniors movie their tassels from right to left to symbolize their graduation as well as the end of one stage in their lives and the start of a new one.


The graduating class tosses their tassels in the air to celebrate them officially graduating.


The BISB band, made up of Michael Sherris, Massimo Koffler, Tamara Fetisova, Lilly Waters, and Faisal Khreis, performs.


A personalized congratulatory cake that each senior received.



Congratulations again to the Class of 2022, we hope for their success as they pursue their future endeavors. We also wish the best of luck to the Class of 2023 on successfully completing the IB and graduating next year!
